Below is the Spring 2008 Schedule

Circular Knitting —Sabra Massey & Ruth Little
2 Thursdays, April 3rd & 10th 6:30-8:30pm @Shop
Already know how to knit on two needles? We’ll teach you how to knit in the round using circular and/or double pointed needles. We’ll start you on a seamless hat project using your choice of worsted weight or bulky yarn.
Cost: $20 plus materials

Introduction to Fiber Felting –Melissa Poilly
Sunday, April 6th 2-4pm @Shop
Join Melissa as she shares with you the joys of needle-felting. Choose from a variety of spring-inspired projects! No experience is necessary; all materials will be provided.
Cost: $20

Crochet Blocks –Ruth Little
Saturday April 19th 1-4pm @Shop
Learn how to crochet granny squares and more! We’ll use the book “200 Crochet Blocks” as a resource so you can practice the basic techniques and understand various patterns. For those of you who have crochet hook(s) and a supply of “stash yarns”, bring them along! I’ll bring a variety of crochet hooks and an assortment of yarn we can use for practice.
Cost: $20

Beginning Spinning —Jessica Dillner
Sunday April 27th 1-5pm @Shop
Jessica has everything you need to introduce you to the wonderful world of spinning your own yarn. This is a must-do class for weavers, knitters, crocheters and fiber artists who want to learn about yarn production - start to finish. No experience necessary; all materials included.
Cost: $45

Register for workshops by stopping in at the shop or by giving us a call at 326-2092. Shop hours are Thursday through Monday from 10-5pm.

Mountain Fiber Folk Co-op Open House
Saturday May 3rd 10-5pm @Shop
Come in to meet the “folk”, enjoy refreshments and get excited about your next fiber arts project! Demonstrations of wool preparation, spinning, weaving and needlework all day. Mark your calendar!

Dillner Hillside Farm Annual Open House
Saturday May 17th 10-4pm @Diller Hillside Farm
528 Hill West Road (1/2 mile up on the right)
This local fiber farm invites the public to meet all of the new arrivals! Cute lambs, playful Angora goat kids and maybe baby chicks. Learn about animal fibers and how to turn them into yarn and knitwear. They’ll have fiber products, farm-raised honey, maple syrup & eggs for sale.
